Technological exploitation for CBRN events

Description

As part of the activities to support the Public Administration in the security sector, ENEA has participated for years with its experts in international programs for the development of security technologies and culture for the reduction of CBRN risks.

Details

Any malevolent use of chemical, biological, radiological and nuclear agents against persons and the environment, including the agro-food chain, is considered a CBRN threat. However, one of the most important threats comes from the spread of technical knowledge and capabilities that can enable subversive individuals or groups to build CBRN devices: hence, once again, the need for a strong security culture.
