INCLUDING 6th Joint Action a Roma

Il Laboratorio Tracciabilità ha partecipato alla sesta esercitazione del progetto INCLUDING, con l'obiettivo di testare tecnologie e procedure innovative per rispondere ad un attacco terroristico contro infrastrutture critiche. I principali effetti dell'attacco analizzati sono state lesioni gravi e contaminazione radiologica su uomo e ambiente.

'INCLUDING 6th Joint Action in Rome: from the 23rd to the 25th of May 2023 the TEST RED Exercise (TEchnologies in SupporT to a Radiological mEDical emergency) took place in Rome; the exercise had
the objective to test innovative technologies and procedures to respond to a terrorist attack against a critical infrastructure. The main effects of the attack are severe injuries and radiological contamination on humans and the environment. The exercise consisted in two phases:
1) ENEA Casaccia Research Centre (Rome) - terrorist attack performed using a dirty bomb dropped from a drone; radiation mapping of the contaminated area; decontamination of the area; countermeasures to drone intrusion in a critical infrastructure; discussion session
2) Gemelli Hospital (Rome) - rapid triage of casualties; stabilization and treatment of injured/contaminated people; discussion session"
