| CV | In ENEA since 1987 is a System, Network and Web Administrator and Engineer. Began working on CRE Brasimone Computerized Mapping Project,a pilot-project in use of GIS tecnologies applied to technical-administrative and environmental management of the structure of a research centre, with the function of System Manager Assistant. In 1990 participates in the Consortium Sprint (Prato Technological Innovation System), with the function of Assistant of Technical Director, regarding the transfer and dissemination to the territory of innovative technologies in telematics and informatics. From 1995 to 1999 he collaborated with INFN-CNAF for the research, design, implementation and testing of a local and geographical area network using ATM technology connected with the Toscana MAN and in a testing phase of the GARR-B Pilot Project for the activation of the ATM backbone network of GARR (Italian Research Network). In the same period, as ENEA, participates in ICT European projects (Global Project Invenctory Italy, FASHION-NET/TEMIN, AITEAR) where have tested and used high-bandwidth wide area networks (ATM) and informatics technologie as support for collaborative working tools in workgroups, an advanced multimedia web server with large database, and user-oriented applications. From 1999 to 2007 he worked as System and Network Manager of informatics infrastructure of ENEA Pisa territorial office, while also providing support and technical assistance to users. Furthermore as GARR APM of ENEA Pisa network node manages the network devices to connect the office to the Italian research network. In the same period is occupy by design, development and management of a Advanced Portal and Web Server (SPRING system). He is mainly engaged in server system administration and also provides support to programmers regarding the design, development and management of sites and web services. Now currently is the System Administrator of "ServerOne" Data Center of the Bologna ENEA Research Centre, based on a virtualization system. The system consists of an IBM Blade Server with multiple multiprocessor blade servers and EMC fibre channel shared disk architecture (SAN), with built-in load balancing, fault tolerance, high availability, and disaster recovery, with integrated and automated backup system. The DC is based on a VMWARE vSphere virtual infrastructure environment, for the provision of servers, sites and services. He also have worked in the design and implementation of DC. |
